Word of the Day #24: Xylophone



Word of the Day is designed to help children learn how to use a dictionary, whilst simultaneously expanding their vocabulary. Today’s Word of the Day begins with the letter ‘X’. The word is: Xylophone.xylophone (z-) n. Musical instrument consisting of a series of flat wooden bars, graduated in length to sound the musical scale, resting on strips of straw or felt, and played by striking with small wooden hammer(s).
