Ready to read on?

Get your pupils thinking about what would happen if they leave a small amount of a hot chocolate drink in a cup overnight.

This worksheet questions what happens to the drink, what happens when the mug is later washed up, what is in chocolate drinking powder and what happens to the ingredients when a drink is made.

This activity is drawn from Understanding Materialsone of a set of three science books designed to help lower ability children, or those with special needs, to develop the essential skills of observation, predicting, recording and drawing conclusions. The books contain a mixture of paper-based tasks and ‘hands on’ activities.
