Kangaroo jumps: free creative teaching resource KS1

Use up some of that left over summer energy by bouncing and counting!

This exercise has a worksheet that uses the image of a kangaroo jumping to introduce ‘counting on’ in 4 or 3 for instance.

Why not get the children to be the kangaroo and jump on past bean bags or other items laid out on the floor to help them learn about adding more than one at at time?

This idea is drawn from How to Sparkle at Addition and Subtraction to 20 which contains 40 photocopiable illustrated worksheets for use in Key Stage 1 (KS1). These high interest activities will help develop your pupils’ addition and subtraction skills.
