Aluminium fact file: free science teaching resource KS2

We collected cans for nearly a year to raise money for our son’s trip to the World Scout Jamboree this summer. They were normally sticky and took up a lot of room, even when they were squashed, but the scrap value made it worth it.

This worksheet has information about aluminium with questions about the use of it to make certain objects. There is even a section about recycling. It is interesting to research the recycling process, and to find out what else can be recycled.

This activity is drawn from How to be Brilliant at Materials, which contains 42 photocopiable worksheets with practical activities to help Key Stage 2 (KS2) children acquire knowledge and understanding of the way materials are classified, how they can be changed, and ways of separating them.
