Is it a card, a bookmark, a flutter, a window hanging …? Let your children decide what they would like to make for Mothers Day with their piece of art once it has dried.
Our activity suggests sticking hearts of art tissue between some greaseproof paper but flower shapes would also work well. Once the sheet has dried there are many options on how it can be used.
I have made Mothers Day cards for my mum every year for many years now (probably over 30 but who’s counting). I know she has kept them all so coming up with a new idea every year has become quite a challenge. You probably can’t imagine how pleased I was to come across this idea in our book Preschool Art.
I’m going home to see if my PVA glue is still any good! I’ll let you know how I get on. I’d be interested to hear how your children do with the activity and whether there is any feedback from the mums.
