Earth Hour 2012: did the lights go out where you were?

So, lights went out around the world on 31st March at 8:30 pm and with the help of social media the Earth Hour message spread, fuelling people’s passion to save the planet.

BBC News has some amazing pictures of iconic buildings in ‘before’ and ‘during’ shots.

There is continually updating information on the Earth Hour website.

No news from the International Space Station yet but I’m sure it will be posted soon.

As a starting point for a discussion about our planet, Earth Hour, and some of the committed people who have made Earth Hour happen where they are, is inspirational. Did the lights go out where you were? Did you wonder why?
