Moving and trapped air: free teaching resource

I recently read an article about wind (think weather here, not bodily function) that gave a brilliant idea for a game to show children what wind is – more of that later …

Why not start off your science session trying to explain wind by following our ‘moving and trapped air‘ worksheet from Materials and their Properties (Project Science series)? Your pupils will explore trapped air in inflatables and then consider the effect moving air can have.

Now on to the brilliant idea I read about to demonstrate the concept of wind, it was this air hockey game. It seems easy to set up and will certainly be a memorable teaching tool.
