Should worksheets be banned?

Some people are highly derogatory when it comes to photocopiable worksheets. I would be first to agree that some worksheets are essentially time fillers that don’t teach children anything. But that doesn’t mean that all worksheets are bad.

Therefore I was very pleased to read Steve Smith’s blog in support of worksheets, showing how a well written worksheet can be an excellent teaching tool.
