Is education going back to 1950s?

Keith Budge, the Headmaster at the Bedales Schools, argues in an interesting article in the Telegraph today that the current emphasis on teaching knowledge is taking us back to the 1950s.

He argues that, if we are educating children to lead worthwhile and fulfilling lives (and not just to pass exams),  children also need to learn to think creatively and to problem solve.
