Teach German with a phrase a day

Ich spreche gern Deutsch – I like speaking German.

The song on Singt mit uns! with this title is a rap, all about where German is spoken around the world. It’s a great way of introducing country names, and shows that German is spoken in lots more countries than most people would expect. For example, you probably know that German is spoken in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but did you know German is spoken in Namibia and Kazakhstan?

Publisher speaks on ‘International Success’

Leading businesswoman Priscilla Hannaford, CEO of Brilliant Publications, was in Frankfurt last week speaking at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The event, titled: “International Success Stories”, was aimed at promoting international trade in the educational books market.

Focusing largely on the need for a creative approach to teaching at a young age, Priscilla spoke on how Brilliant Publications’ success stems from concentrating on the niche markets, which the mainstream publishing companies neglect. As a result, Brilliant Publications have found an international market for their books, with books published in Germany, Turkey, Australia, South Korea and Mexico, amongst others. Continue reading
